Animation Export

Where Export Lives

The export dialog is part of the 2D animation workflow. Enter Animate, then use the top-bar export button.

If the export button or dialog shows a Pro badge, that capability is currently plan-gated in the editor.

Available Formats

  • WebM Video: full motion export, currently capped at 60 seconds per export
  • PNG (Current Frame): one still image from the current frame
  • PDF Document: a still export over a selected frame range
  • Animation State: JSON backup of the current animation state

Export Settings

The dialog exposes different settings depending on format.

  • Quality presets from 360p through 4K
  • 24 or 30 FPS for video
  • Frame range selection for PDF and video exports
  • Pitch margin control for video exports

Before You Export

  • Play the full sequence once.
  • Check frame time and ordering.
  • Make sure ghost silhouettes and trails still help rather than distract.
  • Use JSON backup when you want to preserve the editable state, not just the rendered output.
